TEAMSTERS TAKE STRONG POSITION ON PROPOSED AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE RULES AND OUTSOURCING

The Teamsters Airline Division believes that while many of the recently proposed FAA regulations concerning aircraft repair stations adequately address safety issues, other rules fail to deal with the dangers posed by outsourced aircraft maintenance. The Airline Division submitted comments in a letter to the FAA regarding proposed rules that raise concerns about standards for certification and work performed by foreign repair stations.
