On March 10th, the I.B.T. Airline Division notified the Company of its intent to open negotiations in accordance with Section 6, Title I of the Railway Labor Act, as amended. Click here to read the letter.
Negotiations will begin on April 14th in Chicago with a one-day session covering the "State of the Company."
The Negotiations Steering Committee, made up of Chief Stewards and Business Agents from across the System, is meeting here at Local 856 for the entire week.
By Friday the Steering Committee will have completed the process of reviewing non-economic proposals submitted from the membership and will be prepared to submit the Union's comprehensive non-economic proposals to the Company.
